With Sir Micheal Parkinson when a painting from " How to Paint Colour and Light in Watercolour" sold in aid of McMillan Cancer Support July 2010

Elected an Associate Member in 2009 Jean was presented with the Anthony J Lester Art Critic Award for " Morning Calls", a vibrant painting of a cockerel from a watercolour collection in the SWA Annual Exhibition 2009.

Jean was elected a full member of the SWA in 2010 with an "outstanding body of work".

Jean regularly writes for leading art magazines including Master Class features in the Artist and Illustrator and the S.A.A. Society For All Artists Paint Magazine in which features have included many subjects including cockerels and the popular "How to Paint Dogs in a Loose Style" series.
