Paint Yourself Calm 2016

With a solo exhibition looming there is something I need.
And it is this book!

Thank heavens I wrote it.

I will be using it every day creating colourful washes to ease the excitement of my forthcoming solo show!

Its' time to relax!!!

  1. I recently purchased this book as I was getting disheartened about painting in watercolor lately. I really love your painting style and have your other books, but I was hesitant about buying another WC painting book, but took a risk. It has certainly paid off and last week I tried out a few of the exercises at the beginning of the book. I enjoyed painting without working toward an outcome and it seems that I have managed to 'accidentally' paint something, that actually looked like something, but a bit abstract. My Blues turned into seascapes and my yellows have now been made into landscapes. I work full time, have two dogs, a husband and am learning French so my only free time is sometimes on the weekends. Your book has been an inspiration for me and helping me to loosen up. Thank you for making it. On another note I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your dog. I had a cat for 18 years and was devastated when he 'went' and I don't know what I would do without my two spaniels even though I have a lovely family around me. Time and living in the moment is a great healer. All the best to you.
