Taking a Break in Venice.
We all at times face a "bridge" that needs to be crossed. The bridge could represent anything from a career choice, something more personal regarding relationships to even simply making small decisions that could carry larger consequences. The bridge represents changes which many of us face that can either be seen as obstacles or brand new adventures. A positive or negative outlook can effect our lives far more than what is happening around us.
Some changes we can avoid while others we need to face head on.
My life is changing as I am about to move again and so is my career. I am facing and crossing many bridges on a daily basis it seems. Apart from renovating an old cottage wonderful opportunties and requests keep coming my way and I need to look into what is and isn't possible in my annual shedule to fit everything in. I want to please everyone by teaching as much as possible. I want to write and I want to enjoy painting for exhibitions. As well as fit in my personal life and time with family and friends.
Each time I face a new bridge I know I can cross it if I want to. I strongly believe the biggest thing holding any of us back from anything in our lives is the belief in our own ability. I know I am capable of juggling important decisions, interior design and a very sick beloved pet behind the scenes as well as manage my art life. Surprisingly I have especially over the last twelve months!
My motto is positive thinking .
Believe you can do it and you will.
When faced with a new bridge look at how you could cross it and what will be on the other side if you do. See the positives in every single thing around you. Leave negatives that pull you down in the past and keep moving forward with a free and happy heart.
This is what my paintings convey.
A free and happy spirit.
I hope all your bridges are easy to cross and wonderful when you get to the other side.

Another lovely photo of you Jean and love your related thoughts as to the bridge.
ReplyDeleteJean, I can totally relate to your thoughts in this post as I am facing many similar 'bridges' also at the moment.
