I have just delivered new work to The Frame Gallery in Odiham, Hampshire where my solo exhibition "Essence " is currently  running. The exhibition was due to close this Friday but as it has been so popular with many visitors, the gallery has invited me to extend the show which I am happy to do.

I was delighted to visit today and see my work hung differently due to the missing sales pieces The collection looks very vibrant, full of energetic colour and vibrancy.

So if you have missed the show you still have time to visit!

It is a stunningly, sunny day here and I feel as though I could be in France right now. I am surrounded by beautiful geranium flowers which always remind me of market days from my time living there.

The above painting is in a gorgeous frame and is currently being exhibited at the Frame Gallery in Odiham, Hampshire ,UK. This is one of those pieces that makes me feel like racing for a summer dress and a glass of chilled wine,to enjoy in my garden.

I am finalising the catalogue for my next solo exhibition which opens in Hampshire on 10th May.

The show will include a selection of  completely new subjects which will be launched at the Frame Gallery.   Paintings include my new paintings of Kingfishers,  a very sweet hedgehog ( one only! ), Koi Carp, ballet, new elephants and there is , of course, one new lucky hare as is my tradition when exhibiting a solo show.

Please note: I am finding that favourite subjects disappear on the opening evening so if you are interested in  a particular watercolour  please ensure you visit the gallery at your earliest opportunity.

Just for fun I am sharing last years Rudolf painting that was  displayed at the Frame Gallery in Odiham. This was such a fun painting to create and I laughed non stop during its' creative process. As artists we often take ourselves far too seriously so having fun with our brushes is good for us, bringing  back the feeling of joy when we paint.

Have fun with your art at times and keep that spontaneous feeling alive when you create.

It is worth it!

My weeks are getting so busy that it is almost impossible to keep up on my blog. This photograph was taken at the Private Preview of my solo exhibition " An Artists Journey " which runs until the 28th June 2012 at the Frame Gallery in Odiham,Hampshire.

Please call the gallery directly for opening hours as Jan the owner is away this week and the exhibition is open at different times.

Full details can be found on my web site but the solo show is a wonderful success with red dots appearing regularly.  The first painting I believe to sell was the owl on the invitation, a favourite of mine and it has gone to a terrific new home along with one of my landscapes of Venice from the same show.

In the photograph are Jan the owner of the Frame Gallery,myself after a week of three private previews and lindsay a fabulous friend of mine who alos bought a copy of my book which I had just signed.

June has been a fabulous month so far, can it possibly get any better? I think it can!

 Celebrate Spring Exhibition

 The opening of " Celebrate Spring" at The Frame Gallery in Hampshire was wonderful with over seventy people attending. The wine flowed and it was terrific to meet old friends and new. The feedback was wonderful and it's at times like this as an artist that you grow. I take every comment on board but as the years pass by listening to how others have watched me grow is really touching. My journey in watercolour seems to have moved to ultra fast speed into a career of one amazing exhibition, event,project or demonstration location after another. I am also constantly meeting incredible artists and art lovers from all over the world.

What does saddens me is that with my ever increasingly busy schedule my free time is far less.  My email and online time is very limited these days. For this reason I am really grateful for owning a blog because without it I wouldn't be able to update my friends and those who like my art with my latest news.

"Celebrate Spring"  runs until the end of April.Paintings purchased can  be taken immediately rather than being exhibited for the duration so the  display will change as the month passes.
